I would like to share with you the gramophone I bought here in São Paulo, Brazil, everything indicates being German or French but I have not found it yet.
What strikes the attention of the cabinet is all in oak and expressly decorated is the size, 50 cm 50 cm, with 14-inch plate and the double-rope motor with nickel-iron.
Has any friend ever seen anything like it?

That is a wonderful machine... I have seen something similar from Europe - I think Germany or Switzerland, but can't remember where... It wasn't exactly like it, but the carving reminds me of the Black Forest or Oberammergau...

Re: Phonograph Art nouveau
Since many Germans fled to Brazil and South America both before and after WWII, it seems that German manufacture is most likely... By the way, what are the scenes on the sides of the case and are they embossed brass?

It's a good deduction, I also think it's German.
When the panels are made of brass bathed with something like nickel, the yellow coloration of the brass can be noticed in some wear and tear.

The horn is spectacular, also... The curved panels are unusual...
