Hello. Do a search on ebay.co.uk. I saw two listed there today, one with a current bid of £30. The other had a start bid of £1, but with astronomically high shipping (I suspect as much because the seller fears it might actually sell for a pittance and would make up the difference on shipping).

Here is the link to the Meltrope 1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142318907768CharliePhono wrote:Hello. Do a search on ebay.co.uk. I saw two listed there today, one with a current bid of £30. It is located in Germany, so I cannot say whether or not the postage charge to Iceland is reasonable.
Roger.

The Meltrope III is an excellent performer. The main reason why I chose a Meltrope I for my Chromogram was appearance, as it is nickel plated whereas most Meltrope III's have a bronze finish. Either soundbox in good condition will transform the performance of your machine, although it already sounds pretty good to me.

The performance of my Chromogram was transformed by a Meltrope I, but the rubber coupling on this one looks tired and non-original. It should be red not black. Replacements in various sizes are available. Choose one with the correct internal diameter for your tonearm and all should be well.
I believe that forum member Chunny has had these couplings re-manufactured and has listed them on UK eBay. If there are none listed at present you could send him a PM.
