1915 SONORA SUPREME

Post by audiophile102 »

This is an amazing example of arguably the most beautiful upright phonograph ever produced. I don't know what is a realistic price, but I don't think I will be winning this one in any case. Feast your eyes and dream.

That is a beautiful machine with a beautiful price. That is one I will make room for in the living room to display it. I can dream. Tom B

It didn't necessarily sell for $21,500. It was a "Best Offer" listing and eBay publishes only the initial listing price. If it sold for less, the actual sale price would not be shown on eBay.

It sold for $15,000.

This online tool magically shows actual selling prices on closed 'best offer' eBay sales. Just input the item number.

Ever since seeing my first bombay Baby Grand, I have been a Sonora fan. The Supreme, in my opinion is the most beautiful upright phonograph ever made. Does anyone know how many Supremes are in existence?

Not many, for sure. This is the first one I've seen on the open market in several years.

They turn up, albeit rarely. The was one for sale with the matching record cabinet a while back.
