I think it is a XVI, post L door model and pre-1916. Not uncommon, but a nice machine.

It's the first style XVI after the L-door machine was discontinued. They are nice machines and quite large.

I always think of the XVI as the "flagship" of the Victrola lineup. It might not be the most expensive but it always had the best motor, tone arm, sound box, largest horn, etc.

The motor on this version of XVI is interesting. Note the position of the speed control in the left rear, not the usual placement. This machine looks to be in very nice condition.

Looks just like my XVI. It even has the speed indicator in the same spot. Most XVIs I see for sale in antique shops or whatever have the speed indicator in the bottom right.

This version of the XVI was the first to have regular doors after the discontinued L door version. This model of the XVI, the type E, was made from the fall of 1912 until the fall of 1913. It has some of the most ornate carving that ever adorned a Victrola.
