HMV Automatic Model 15
The Model 15 was the all electric version of the HMV Automatic Model 1, and this period drawing shows how the complicated contraption worked :

I love 'used record being lowered into receptacle for same'! In reality it's a terrifying crash which makes you wonder how people's expensive record collections weren't smashed to bits!

Apparently the records survived ! A "cushion" of air stopped damage , UNLESS the record already had some damage , an edge chip cause havoc 1bulleid_pacific wrote:I love 'used record being lowered into receptacle for same'! The lift finger reject feature is similar to the 2nd Victor changer found in models such as the VE10-35.
I can't think that I've ever had a record damaged in mine.
