Post by travisgreyfox »

As the title states, I've been searching youtube for a good video and it has eluded me so far.

No YouTube vids that I know of, but here is the URL from our own Mica Monster with a treatise on the same: http://www.lagparty.org/~wyatt/rebuild-orthophonic.html

Thanks for that link. I will keep looking for a video, but if I don't find one I will use those instructions. I'm a "hands-on" learner

Here's good piece of advice: no caffeine before working on an OSB.

Send the wife & kids / pets away.

Make sure you have a clean, quiet, well-lit workplace.

OSBs are not rocket-science, but they are delicate, and have lots of tiny parts (bearing balls), and they can test your patience, particularly when re-assembling the needle-bar bearing-balls.

Read MicaMonster's procedure several times... preferably over a couple of days, so that it sinks-in.

Good luck !
