Can't really work this thing out...looks like it plays a small 'record' of some sort upside-down with a spring loaded soundbox.Anyone seen anything like it before?

Re: Any ideas?
It appears to be a talking cigarette box. The sellers pictures are a little poor but the sound comes out of the slot at the bottom front. It is missing the record and the tray for the cigarettes that goes over the mechanism.

Re: Any ideas?
The records would probably be very difficult to find, when it comes to rebuilding this more unusual item, and I was wondering if the winning bidder could cut out one of those small records from a Tucks postcard. One of the few options I can see...

"Self-winding" by opening the lid......
Must have been a very short record, then.
