SOLD: Nice Rear Mount Aretino Talking Machine - $725

Post by HisMastersVoice »

Selling my very nice Columbia-built Aretino Talking Machine. Finish is all original, decal is perfect. Green horn has a few scratches but is very nice overall. Turntable has the removable large spindle so you can also play standard 78s on it. Turntable felt was replaced at some point. Motor is very clean and runs nicely, there are no pesky fiber gears on this motor. This particular model has multiple oiler tubes right on the motor board (accessible through the various holes) under the turntable which is a great feature so you don't have to remove the motor to oil machine. Reproducer has been rebuilt as well. Free delivery to Wayne or Fall Stanton auction, or can ship at your expense.

Nice complete machine. They don't come any better than this. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, Harvey!

I forgot to mention - I will throw a few Aretino records in with the machine as well.

A beautiful Aretino, Brandon!

I'd be proud to call it my own. It's the right machine, at the price - but, at the worst possible wrong time...sadly.

Best of luck with the sale,

Do you have an estimate as to when it was manufactured?

Sometime in or after 1907?

Not really sure, I am not a Columbia expert, but maybe someone else might know. My guess is 1907-1910 but I really don't know.

1910-1912 era. :)

By the way, the price is awfully low for this machine. If I hadn't just bought two expensive items 3 weeks ago, I'd be very tempted myself.
