Interesting Oriental Brunswick Cabinet OR CL

Post by gramophone-georg »

Aside from the works being missing, this looks unmolested, and really looks like it might be something desirable.

Not mine.

Edit:

Sorry, but once again, the message simply will not post when I try to embed or attach the images from CL... the little circular thing on the top left of the screen just keeps circling the drain to infinity and the message won't post, so if some other kind soul could rescue me on this I'd appreciate it.

It only happens on this forum, and only with pics I'm trying to get off the WWW- eBay or CL. Attempts to save and then upload show up as garbled text, attempting to hotlink circles the drain...

Thanks again, Dan.

There are a couple more photos in the listing that clearly show the crazing on the black paint, which tells me it's lacquer and so likely period.

I had one that I sold a couple of years ago. It is definitely all original and in pretty good shape. Too bad the insides are missing.

Agreed on the insides but at least it looks like the organ harvester didn't alter anything else or try to make it into a wine cabinet/ bath stand. My thought is that someone with a similar Brunswick with a ratty cabinet can use this.

Do you have any pics of your old one with the works?
