This might be the break I'm looking for! Make way! A young collector is soon to get his first cylinder machine! (Hopefully)

            Roland--

            DO IT!

Mine is not as nice as that one and only came with one record. That's not a stash, that's a music archive that it comes with! And the "not playing" bit is likely just the reproducer stuck in the horn. Easy fix with patience and a few drops of sewing machine oil.

"Not playing" covers a multitude of sins: anything from an improper adjustment of the half nut, to a broken stylus, reproducer link, or diaphragm. Best to examine the machine in person before committing to a purchase.

However, the price seems decent enough, and the case has only minor defects. My first machine was a 30, purchased for $40 about 45 years ago: working mechanically, but in sad cosmetic condition. It served as my guinea pig for restoration techniques for many years; and is now fairly close to its original state.
