I saw this machine on eBay...looks to be a historically correct copy of the Kalamazoo Duplex Phono..might be a chance for an entry collector to get a stand out machine at a fraction of the cost...
Not my machine, but just passing along the info..I have an original from several years back but even the originals have dried up.
Here’s the link...listing is even a make offer one so might can get a deal..

Agreed. And not even a complete repro, with a victor motor.

Doesn't look like a Victor motor I recognize.

Just going by the description, photos make it difficult to see.

The motor appears to be from a VV VI or a VV VIII. It uses a male crank. That's my guess. The photos are too small to see the details.

RIP tabletop donor Victrola.
THOUGH--it looks REALLY COOL and is an encouraging sign of the persistent love that people have for the Talking Machine. If they'd use new motors instead of scavenging I'd think this was the coolest thing since the Agnard Lys-O-Phone. But pulling a Vic motor in--the horror! I can hear the celebrations in the back alley gramophone workshops of Calcutta and Bangalore from here.
I'm thinking in about ten years someone's going to come out with a totally new wind-up phonograph. And I'm going to buy one.

Re: Reproduction Kalamazoo Duplexes on ebay
I've seen my share of table top Victrolas, IV, VI, VIII, IX with missing lids, doors, arms, turntables, veneer peeling off, etc. with the motor being the only element worth salvage.VanEpsFan1914 wrote:RIP tabletop donor Victrola.
