Hi all,
My Edison Standard B has been acting up again!
I was going to remove the bedplate and crank to do some routine maintenance work, only to find that the crank wouldn't come out of the socket.
I've only gotten around to this a few times, and it came out easily, but now it won't move the way it should come out.
It still cranks up alright, but it won't move any other way.
Thanks for looking!

Re: Edison Standard B Crank Won't Come Out
This thing is large to freeze so try Kriol oil, penetrating oil, or something you can get in there with a long spout. I have never had this problem but it may be stripped threads on either the crank or shaft. You can try unscrewing the bed plat from the wood one and see if you can wiggle it out too. I do not think that it will work unless you also unscrew the wood bed plate screws. There is the old tap it lightly with a hammer a couple of times too. Good luck. Tom B

Thanks! I did unscrew the bedplate screws, so I think perhaps it may be a thread problem. I will try this, and report back.
Thanks again!
