HMV acoustic gramophone range 1936/37

Post by epigramophone »

By the late 1930's the last surviving HMV cabinet models were disguised as radiograms, which had by then taken over the market.

The Model 152 was virtually the old 145 in a new cabinet, and the "double exponential tone chamber" of the Model 153 was the old 157 horn re-purposed. Many of these machines were exported to countries which did not yet have universal access to mains electricity, and are rarely found in the UK.
