Guido Severijns had one on eBay last year. I believe this one is different. These are fun and actually quite historic machines that were way ahead of their time -- molded celluloid cylinders, automatic shut-off etc.

thanks... that's probably the one I was thinking of... I knew I saw another though, because I hadn't previously seen one of these for sale in years.

The machine is one of Grant Kornberg’s (firebottles). He always has beautiful things on eBay.

This is the one you've seen recently at 4X the money

And commented on here

Looking at the Lioret Merveilleux he's selling I find that he plagiarized the entire text of my web page about the Merveilleux, verbatim. Without even the courtesy of a citation. :x

The final paragraph of his eBay listing doesn't even fit his listing since it refers to my photo showing two Merveilleux side-by-side:

Quote:
In the photograph at the top of the page the machine on the left features English instruction labels and a London dealer's address. Curiously, the phonograph on the right, marketed in France, has French labels pasted on top of English ones! It was apparently destined for sale in England then reconverted for the French market.

definitely lame.

but who's 000dj000? the one you mentioned is available now, but I was referring to one that sold last year, apparently belonging to guido... so that makes three in the past year?
