estate sale bargain

Hi. Picked up this VV-XI on Saturday for 99.00. It needs a knob, a turntable felt cover, and a few other adjustments. Decent reproducer, good horn. Plays reasonably well. Nickel plate tone arm but you can't have it all. A fun summer project!

It’s supposed to have a nickel plated tonearm.

Whoops yes, looked at my notes again and only the tabletop had gold trim. Serial number traces mine to 1915, also horizontal shelves by then

Just try washing the felt first and see how it turns out. I have done a couple and you can not believe how much stuff comes out and it looks a lot better and original. Wash it while it is on the turn table. That look like a real nice buy... Tom
