WANTED: Cylinder reamer

Post by OldRestorer »

I am going to try repairing a bunch of my cylinders. I would like a reamer. Used is fine, crappy is fine. It just needs to ReAm!

Thanks!

I have an unused old oak reamer that needs sandpaper strips attached and an amberola mandrel I could let you have the pair for 40.00 plus actual shipping if you are interested.

I am going to need a shaft on the mandrel. Are there threads in the end that I can use a rod in? I see some online with shafts.
Thanks

If it's from a 30/50/75, at least, it would have been held on the shaft by a collar with a set screw.

Have you found what you needed? I have a mandrel from a 2min only Home. Perfect for what you want as it has a very beefy shaft. No reamer though.

Hello,
I was offered the above but I need a shaft on it.
It should look like this photo below.
I need a good shaft for stability when trying to reform these cylinders. If it even works..

The most rigid shaft you will find attached to a mandrel is from the 2min Home as I mentioned in my post. Here is a picture sample I borrowed from a previous post from Victroladoctor. Hope he does not mind. The one I have is in my attic and too hot and lazy right now to bring it down to take pictures. The feedscrew threads on my mandrel are no good so no use on a phonograph but will suit your needs.

$25.00 includes shipping if you are interested.
