Cylinder and 7" record player in one, mystery machine

Post by snallast »

I am looking into buying this little mystery machine... what can anyone tell me about it? From the design it looks both a little "early G & T and Zonophone" style, the motor seems to power both cylinder and turntable. What would the soundboxes have been?
I find no trademarks anywhere but still the machine doesnt look like a one off? Any and all comments welcome!

Wow, what an interesting little machine! There was a thread here a while ago with pictures of an incomplete one if I remember correctly. Great to see a (mostly?) complete machine here. And thanks to Brandon for posting the Ad. This machine would look great in any collection.

Very informative to see an extant rare machine, and Bradon's advert in the same thread! :)

Wow! :o

I had never seen a machine like this, except in my dreams. Is there supposed to be some attachment to raise the turntable, as in the advertisement?

I wish I could enlarge that ad, so I could read the text...

Your machine is missing the reproducer carriage which you can see on the picture below.
