Pretty Nice. I was at a local record shop and the owner showed me a vertical WE transcription. I love vertical recording over lateral. I had a lateral Fairchild recording head, and when I recorded lateral with it, the recording was muddy and bass heavy, and of course you had to use a curve similar to the RIAA curve where you reduce the bass at least 20db and boost the highs to record lateral, and when recording vertical this curve was not nearly as pronounced, a 6db reduction in bass and 5db increase in treble gave a much clearer sound vertically recorded, this has also been the case when I tested this acoustically as well, easier to record high frequencies with vertical recording.

the slightly later Associated Recorders discs(them Muzak) discs also sound good but I prefer the 1934~36 music ....the later Muzak disc are a mixture of Lat and vertical recordings I have always wondered why

These look intriguing to me. I would like to learn more about these records. What size are they? All 33 ⅓ rpm? Standard shellac and what size stylus do you use to play them. I have some records with this logo ERPI that have recitations by Robert Frost. These are 12" lateral 78 rpm.
