FOR SALE: early EMERSON phonograph and 7” 6” Records VARIOUS

Post by MicaMonster »

Emerson phonograph is all original, aside from a repair I had to make to the reproducer. I oiled motor some years ago. This is a shelf queen. The cast yoke which holds the needlebar broke off at some time in its life, and I made a new piece from brass and attached it to the reproducer body. I did this about 6 years ago, and didn’t touch it up to match the reproducer body. It plays evenly, but it isn’t a concert machine! Machine is $650/BO

I have a pile of 7” and 6” records for it as well, with original sleeves. $negotiable.

I can deliver to Fall Wayne NJ show or Union IL show

Interesting...... I wonder if yours is an earlier or later cabinet than mine. Mine has a door that opens on the front with a wooden knob so you can store your records. You cabinet is all finger jointed. Other than that they look identical.

Does you door lift or drop and do you have a decal or celluloid Emerson name tag on the door and Emerson cast into the reproducer? The door was for motor access not for record storage---oil or grease would then drip onto the records.

this is a one sided record?

Thanks,

Is the Emerson phonograph still available? Have you sold any of the records? Would you quote me a price for the phonograph and records. Can you ship? - Ed Emerson

Just looked at it, and unfortunately it has a light surface crack, it doesn’t go through, but i am disappointed to find this.
