This is an old thread, but a fun topic that might be entertaining to revisit.
Survey does not work for most people, so it has to be manual. I’ll start:
Living Room:
1. Edison A-60
I think I’ll add a new thread like this, entitled Family Room...or maybe Main Collection Room?
How many machines are in your living room?

In my combined living/dining room: two, an L-door VV-XVI and a Puck on a beautiful sheet music cabinet.
There are only three more on the main floor, the majority are in my basement/man cave and in the guest rooms. I need to keep them somewhat distributed, so it's more difficult for my wife to count the total

And you may wanna try switching them around once in a while--that oughta make the count more difficult LOLalang wrote:In my combined living/dining room: two, an L-door VV-XVI and a Puck on a beautiful sheet music cabinet.

Re: How many machines are in your living room?
In our small "parlor/living room" I have 3 machines
1) Red-Banner Edison Home with red horn painted with roses 2) Columbia Q on cast-iron base with a Paul Baker rose-colored glass horn and 3) a Walnut VV-XI.
My wife loves the red horn!

Dat be all.
Though I've considered getting a modest cylinder machine for fun sometime. Like an Edison Home or Fireside.

As I have said before, my wife hates my hobby... BUT she likes the Columbia Coin-op AS on an oak cylinder cabinet and two Reginas...

Fifteen(!), but that include 1 machine that's for sale, and 3 portables that are tucked into corners or under other machines, at least for now.

Re: How many machines are in your living room?
I really don't know how to answer this as we have one large area that is a great room kind of like a living room-den combined. If I just count the side where the TV is, there are three uprights, a console and three table top machines. Plus three organettes , three disc and one cylinder music box and a player piano. On the den side there are many more. Alright, I'll admit it. I'm sick! I really do need to get rid of a few.

Re: How many machines are in your living room?
I keep all my favorites in my bedroom (life of a single man), so my living room hosts all of my 'project' machines. An Amberola 30 with no veneer and half a lid, and a recently aquired Home I haven't had time to clean up yet
