This Model 94 is based on the HMV 97/Columbia 204 case structure, but in polished hardwood, and is attracting a lot of interest.

It is missing the record carrier which was originally supplied. Not too difficult an item to source, but it needs to be the version without "feet".

I've got the record carrier ready and waiting, but the way the bidding's going, I'm not going to be able to afford the machine!

Two determined bidders slugged it out, and the machine eventually made £367. They must have wanted it very badly.

The attractiveness of that machine to me lies only on the nice case, but this one was in very poor condition to deserve such high price. It is too tatty to be exposed in a collection, and revarnishing it would reduce its value. Only rarity would justify it.

Ah well, that one got away, but the record carrier will come in handy for something else.
