Makin Whoopee one cylinder record

Post by Victrolacollector »

Does anyone think Makin Whoopee would be a great title to see on reproduction cylinder record? I think that it sounds awesome with B.A. Rolfe. Hopefully we will see this one put into production on cylinder.

That's been one of my hottest sellers on DD, so you're probably right about someone selling it on cylinder.
Was it originally available on cylinder?

Yes, it came out in February, 1929 on a Blue Amberol 5659.

Yep! and a copy sold on eBay a few months ago for about 800.00 on cylinder. It was not too far from me in South Bend, Indiana.
It would be nice to have an original molded in beautiful blue resin.

Yes, I agree with you on that one. I'm the owner of the Makin' Whoopee DD that don used. I would also love to see it reproduced on a cylinder! I would buy one.

Does anyone have a copy of the cylinder they'd lend for duplication, or if not a clean MP3 from the DD? I'm always looking for suggestions for cylinders to produce.

PM if anyone has either to share.

Thanks,
Rob
