Looking for Victrola Credenza X or 8-30 manual scans

Post by fran604g »

Hiya folks,

I'm looking for good scans of the owner's and service manuals, if anyone has the ability to forward good scans to me privately, I'd be much obliged. I'm particularly interested in the electrical system, especially the on/off switching mechanism and related parts.

Thank you all in advance,
Fran

I wish we had a sub-forum here, a repository of downloadable manuals. I have lots of reprints and copies of such things, which I generally do not really use, but like to keep with their matching machines.

Admittedly, folks who make good quality reprints of such things to sell might feel like this cuts into their marketplace, but perhaps not, if we consider the different needs of the end users - reference use vs display.

I agree, Peter.

The Antique Phonograph Society has begun the construct of such a repository. Under the Catalogs Main Menu and by Machine Manufacturer sub-category Instruction Manuals, you will see several listed.

Members are welcome to submit their scans for upload, or mail to us for scan and upload.

That sounds great Rod! Hopefully it grows, and grows...wish I had something to contribute.

NateO very generously supplied me with a scan of an 8-35 owner's manual.

I'm still looking for a good scan of a service manual.

I just made PDFs of a couple of manuals that were handy, for the Amberola VIII and the Cheney. I'll post them separately under their own names, so they can be found via searches.

Fran or anyone,

Have you ever heard of a manual made specifically for the Credenza or 8-30?

I don't know if one was ever issued, maybe not? I do know one was issued for the 8-35 (thanks to NateO).
