Hiya folks,
This must be playable, with no cracks or delaminations throughout the groove area. Incidental surface noise is acceptable, as are minor edge chips which do not interfere with playback. I don't require the original sleeve (although that would be nice).
I'm not looking to spend a ton of $$$, and I'm not looking for a giveaway either.
PM me if you have one you'd be willing to sell to this Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph Phiend.
Thank you all,
Fran

Re: WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Tuning Record
Hey Fran,
DonnieJ was selling replicas of it. I have a copy also (somewhere), but as I recall it has some issues on the first few grooves.

Re: WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Tuning Record
Thanks Sean, I saw Donnie's replicas, but I really desire an original to go alongside the increasing mountain of DDP ephemera I collect. If you're willing to sell your copy, could you name your price, and send me some good photos, please?OrthoSean wrote:Hey Fran,

Re: WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Tuning Record
I do have this disc as a reproduction, and it's quite nice. Sean's did have a minor depression in the casting which the copies I sell do not. PM me if you're interested.

Re: WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Tuning Record
Fran,
I'd sell mine, but first, I need to FIND it! I will see if I can locate it tonight. With a little luck, it's still where I think it is, but with my luck, it probably isn't

I've been working on my circular breathing, Roland Kirk style, to enable my own full-length live rendition of this famed disc.

I had an excellent copy several years ago... I can see why you want one, as it's really enjoyable listening...

Re: WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Tuning Record
Well so far I checked my A-275 and W-250 and it isn't in either of those machines. This weekend I'll check the B-250 and if it isn't there, I'll have to start digging on the shelves downstairs. Stay "tuned"!
