For an Amberola 30, 3rd (Late) Series, built est. 1924. I always had damage on one corner of the case, but my buddies and I ended up finishing it off. Now wiht fresh finish and veneer, the case looks great but I need to find a new bottom.
I've tried the local furniture repairmen but they consider phonographs not "antique" nor "restorationable" enough for their lily hands to be thus sullied.
If anyone has a base from an old parts case I'd be much obliged. Name your price. It's the very simple variety with a sort of ogee curve, not the sculpted, convex molding seen on first-series "wedding cake" Amberola 30s.
Thanks,
Charles F.
