I am selling my restored R-93 78 rpm Phonograph attachment.
This was restored last year by Chuck A.
The magnetic pickup was serviced.
The cord is a new very good replacement with the plug from Sundial.
Chuck did a great job replacing this.
The motor has average motor hum which is common on these units.
A rebuilt RCA Victor R-93 Record Player. This is an attachment for a suitable radio. You can also use it through a Pre-Amp and Speakers.
This machine plays 78 rpm records and uses steel needles through its magnetic pick-up.
The case top had split as shown in photos but this has been filled. Now for the good part, this player has been rebuilt, the magnetic pick up has been serviced, new grommets and a new covered line cord with retro plug.
A real nice restored machine.
I am asking $ 225.00 which is less than I have into it.
I do accept PayPal.
Jerry P.

Please explain the line-level output of this turntable. What is the function of the knob in the rear? Is it for turntable RPM control?
Thanks,
Fran
Thanks,

I'm curious what the V-out might be for impedance matching - if it were to be used with a preamp/amp. Or is it reliant upon a specific (matched) radio amplifier? I was rummaging through some electronics I have stashed in my barn a couple weeks ago, and noticed I have an RCA-Victor model 55X slated for eventual sale. It has a single conspicuous RCA socket on the rear and that caught my attention. Doing a quick google search, I haven't found any images of the 55X with this socket, and the schematic I found didn't seem to have the input either...but it's there on this radio, and sure looks to be OEM.Vinrage_mania wrote:Fran. it is a voluume control....( there are no active stages in the unit)
Just curious, mostly, and I don't really want to pirate the OP's thread too much, but it would be nice to know exactly what would be required to use a tabletop turntable like this one.
Best,
Fran

Re: FOR SALE: Restored R-93 Player Attachment - $250.00
I used it through a cheap Pfanstiehl pre-am to speakers. All I did was take RCA cables, cut off the plugs on one end, strip the wires and connect them to the player terminals.
The player cost me 85.00 and about 165.00 in parts and labor. Chuck does excellent work, he restored the magnetic pick-up, replaced the rubber grommet/spacers and I believe replaced. One of the inner potentiometer knobs, he replaced the cord and plug. I got the cord and plug from sundial wire at a tune of 30.00.
