Where to source replacement parts in uk

Post by Sutcliffe231 »

I have an Edison 1905 standard a. However the main spring is broken and the belt is very loose. Anyone know where I could source new or replacement parts. At this point I have no idea if the reproducer works and need a new horn as relatives broke the original one. Also if anyone has advice on sensitive cleaning techniques it would be helpful. I have lots of wax cylinder recordings but have no idea if they are viable.

Concerning the reproducer, Keith Badman keirba@gmail.com has been rebuilding them and manufacturing complete replicas for longer than the Edison factory.

You will not need to be in any hurry if you call Keith Badman - I sent him a reproducer for repairs and eventually, after a year, I chased him up and he sent me some photos to show he was working on it and it wasn't even my reproducer ! Eventually had to ask for it back and go elsewhere ......
