It looks great in the living room.
Does that mean it gets to stay upstairs? :)

Congrats Jerry,

I have always thought Zonophone machines have such elegance of style --and this one the most elegant of all the rear-mounts.
Beautiful!

Jerry, That is really beautiful. The machine and cabinet are just stunning together.

I echo what the others have said. Also, that wood grained horn really tops it off. It's more appealing than a wooden horn imho although many of those who turn up their noses at "late zonos" also don't like metal horns. :monkey:

PS: Were you able to keep it there in the living room? If so, call me. I want to know your secret.

I think you both know the answer... As soon as my son was over we moved it to the basement. But that's OK. Jerry

Nothing gets to stay upstairs. Something does not add up.
There can on be one explanation for your growing collection, and
I'm sure the city would not approve of your "basement".

On the plus side it looks like I've got a lot of room for expansion!

Now that is a beautiful combination. I've wanted a Zonophone ever since I found out about them. Finally last year I found a Zonophone grand opera a later version. It has a big cloth covered horn. I too am happy but have no nice cabinet to place it on. Lucky you to find those two pieces. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing it with us. Neil

Very few people, at least that are still amongst the living, know the name of Jerry's high school punk rock band:

Jerry and The Mole Men

And so even now, as he sits comfortably entrenched in his Golden Years, the old subterranean habits die hard.
