Teak front wind HMV 101 for auction in Kent.

I already own one of these rare machines, which has been the subject of a previous thread. Here is an opportunity for someone else to acquire one, possibly at a bargain price.

The auctioneers wrongly describe it as mahogany, but it is of course teak. They do not offer a packing service, so unless you live locally you will have to make your own delivery arrangements.

I looked to see what it had made and all I found was "Auctioneer has chosen not to publish the price of this lot."

The hammer price was , I think £ 540. Buyer's premium at 22.8 percent makes somewhere around £660 total . Seems at least two bidders desperately wanted to own it !

That is encouraging news, as I paid £80 for mine two years ago. It was in need of much work, but has clearly been a rewarding project in every sense of the word :D .
