I had tried to post this before, but cut-and-paste messed it up a lot. Here's a PDF version that I hope will be useful. Please let me know if you have questions. This only covers the "popular" US series and is simplified so dates are approximate.
Primary sources are Koenigsberg, Dethlefson, and Wile.
Enjoy!

Re: Chart: Edison cylinder and Diamond Disc release years
Fascinating that in terms of the Diamond Disc popular series the less they sold the more they issued. Seems kind of counterintuitive, but then a lot of what Thomas A Edison Inc. did was that way, bless their little hearts. Havcing said that, Victor and Columbia's popular issues rather fell off during WW 1 as well, so perhaps I shouldn't be too flippant.

Re: Chart: Edison cylinder and Diamond Disc release years
This chart is great...if it's easy, would you please add:
- cutoff points or catalog number ranges for direct cylinder recordings vs dubs
- disc recording release dates for the classical and light classical series
- cutoff points or catalog number ranges for electrical vs acoustic diamond disc recordings, which i believe are:
classical electricals: 80885 - 80907
light classical electricals: 82351 - 82360
(I have 52089 memorized, but not the rest of 'em!)
