Post by Edisonfan »

Make: Victrola
Model: VV-X
Serial # 487281
Year(s) Made: 1910-1921
Original Cost: $75.00-$110.00
Case/Cabinet Size: Cabinet 3'6" H x 1' 5 ⅜" W x 1' 9 ⅛" D
Turntable/Mandrel: 12 inch turntable
Reproducer/Sound-Box: Soundbox Victrola No. 2
Motor: 2 Spring
Horn Dimensions: Internal Horn
Reproduction Parts: n/a
Current Value: $250.00 is what I paid for mine.
Interesting Facts: 1910 originally a table top model, 1912 first floor model, with Queen Ann Legs (aka spider legs). Due to style changes, model numbers were skipped. So numbers, and machines may not match.

The little X like yours will always have a place in my heart. It was the first Victrola I purchased about 1975 for $125. It has the great classic Victrola style in a small package. Thanks, Jerry

Beautiful machine! Thanks for sharing - it was my very first machine: picked mine up at a rummage sale in 1961, for $8, and it's still the center of my living room, and the machine I normally play my acoustics on.

I use an Exhibition - I see you have a No. 1; truth to tell, I switch back and forth.

Thanks Paul. At least I know what the cabinet looks like now :)
If you get a chance, the cabinet dimensions would be great too, just to get an idea of the size compared to other machines ;)
