A Box of Hens Teeth

Post by donniej »

Last year I had the pleasure of meeting John Levin at the ARSC conference. John, who is passionate about pre-1900 recordings, makes an archival quality cylinder machine named "CPS1" which is used in several large, well known instutional archives. We were discussing Berliners when he mentioned that he owned several, including 5" discs. Shortly after the conference he loaned #77, which many of you now own copies of. Well, John was very generous is loaning another five for duplication!! All are in above average condition and include at least one with vocals. I'm now scrambling to have these ready for Wayne and copies will be available ASAP. If you know Mr. Levin please be sure to let him know what a wonderful, kind and generous act this was on his part, that we may now be able to have our own copies of these discs, many of which are only-known copies.

Wow! Well if you do have these ready by the time Wayne rolls around, I'd buy copies of each one.
