I saw that CW VTLA...gorgeous early machine. Congratulations. If you don't mind saying, what was the hammer price? I only went on Thur. so didn't see it sell.

I think it was around $700. The reproducer was missing, the cylinder drawers had been messed with and the clips were missing, and the finish was only fair. The governor gear cover was a bad reproduction.

Larry hit the nail on the head. Stantons is like a big family gathering for me, lots of friends and it doesn’t hurt that you can buy records and machines, either!

If I remember correctly the VI record cabinet hammered at $2,750. The original finish was rough and the gold worn.
