Question about Max Oscar Arnold phonograph doll

Post by budsta »

Hello all

I’m hoping someone can help me out with the stylus type and set up as mine is missing. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Stephen,
Your Arnoldia mechanism may be different than the one pictured, however the reproducer assembly and stylus should be similar. The stylus is a sapphire ball mounted in the center of a copper diaphragm. It would seem that a Columbia floating reproducer type stylus would work.

We are looking forward to seeing all our friends at Union and waiting to hear the adventures of Jerry and the OTAPS contingent.

Thank you so much for the picture Rob & Joan.
Mine has the same horn set up as pictured not the other type as shown in your book

Stephen.
