Re: The search is over.

I will post a group photo once the grey 102 is fit to be displayed.

He has a regular production line of heavily restored machines https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/richard-pony/m.html I see what you mean! Among his other gems are a 102D with the instruction plate fitted to the batch made for the Ministry of Supply, but they were all black and this one is green :?: . As fo...

The search is over.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234197228200 This grey HMV102 appeared on eBay yesterday with a starting price of £148, and I purchased it with an offer of rather more than double that amount. Re: Amberola 1A in England

We see so few big pre-1915 Amberolas in the UK that out of curiosity I went to the auction preview and found as follows : Good Points. The cabinet retains it's original finish with just a few scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use. The mechanism appears to be complete apart from the record...

Re: MILLON Auctions - Phono related auctions & results

Slightly off topic, I have always wondered why the APS Journal regularly advertises high profile auctions of high end machines but never publishes the results. By contrast the CLPGS magazine has a regular feature on auctions, including the results. Advertising costs the advertiser. If you have the ...
