Re: Hymnophon

The closest I've come to owning one is owning a Hymnophon soundbox box ! (Unfortunately, no soundbox to go with it ....)

WANTED - Edison Bell circular "Badge"

Hi, following my post re the Edison bell Standard, I need the circular Edison Bell Badge/medallion which goes on the bedplate. I know these are often missing but if you could search amongst your stock of hen's teeth and rocking horse droppings to see if you have one, I would be grateful...
Thanks

WANTED - Edison Bell circular "Badge"

Hi, I have posted about trying to date an Edison Bell Standard but I need one of the round Edison Bell "badges" (for want of a better word) that goes in a circular recess on the bedplate. I guess these are often missing and may be hard to find but if you have one spare, please let me know....

Re: Date for an Edison Bell Standard ?

Here we go... There are holes in the bedplate for a gear cover but no signs in the dirt that there has ever been one fitted ? Does this help with the date of the machine ?
Thanks

Date for an Edison Bell Standard ?

Hi, wasn't sure if this was for the UK or US forum so put it on both ! can anyone give me a date for an Edison Bell Standard, last patent 1889 and serial number 5853 ?
Also, it is missing the gear cover - is this exactly the same as an Edison Standard ?
Many thanks

Hi, can anyone help date an Edison Bell Standard, last patent date 1889, serial number 5853 ?
Also, it is missing the gear cover - is this the same as an ordinary Edison Standard ?
