Re: Board Upgrade
I’m using an iPhone. Pictures are the best way to show what I mean. First one is a page from this forum, in its new format. Five topics are viewable. Second one is a page from a similar (radio) forum, which is using something like what we used to have. As you can see, over 25 topics are available t...

Re: Board Upgrade
Is there a way to adjust the overall display size back down to where it was? It’s now huge on my phone and thus requires tons of scrolling to see what’s available to read. Used to have almost the entire page of items on a single screen; now it’s like 3 or 4. Peter, I switched you back the phpBB-pro...

Re: Board Upgrade
I have a question in regard to email alerts: When I view an email message, there are 3 links included within the text in regard to the subscribed subforum/thread alert. The first link takes me to the (sub)forum showing all of its current threads. The 2nd link takes me to the specific thread of the ...

Re: Board Upgrade
...and we upgraded from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3. So once again we’re at the latest version. I also added a small line (below the copyright/above the donation button) so you can see when I last updated the forum: (Last updated from 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 on 2021-01-30 @ 03:44 EST) Now hopefully I can focus on working...

Re: Board Upgrade
Thanks again, everyone, for your continued support. Thank you, David, for all this work. Everythings looks so fresh now, I really like it too! WDC—the new version of phpBB definitely seems to run better/feel more responsive for most things. From the admin side, it’s definitely a big improvement. Gre...

Re: upgrade
I hate it !!!! Considering the choice is either A) not having a working forum, because the hosting provider no longer offers the software on which the old version ran or B) have this version, which isn’t quite what the old page was, but I can gradually modify until it looks closer to the old versio...

Re: Is Private Messaging Gone?
I will probably change this, there’s no reason to have a popup for that—there’s plenty of room there to just have the contact choices listed.
Curt, thanks for explaining how it works at the moment.
Regards,
David

Re: Board Upgrade
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for their words of appreciation. Monday was off to a really bad start, when I found that the board was broken thanks to DreamHost. Looks great. Thank you so much for all your time and effort. It is much appreciated. Thank you! After all the time and effort th...

Board Upgrade
Thanks to my hosting provider upgrading the server software (PHP) from the version the old version of this software liked (5.6) to a newer version that generated errors and prevented posting (7.3), I had to render the board read-only today until I was able to make sure everything was backed up and u...

Re: nearly all notifications from the TMF going to spam
Are you using Comcast’s web mail (that you use in your browser), or a mail program like Outlook or Thunderbird?fmblizz wrote:Comcast... been using it for years with no problem.
Honestly, I’d strongly encourage you to switch to Google—Gmail is a lot better e-mail service.
