That completely flew over my head that this was recorded in '27 before the RCA takeover. The theory that Victor did not have the masters to press themselves and therefore procured copies from HMV would make sense.

I have here in the attachments the record and it’s matrix information from online. I find it curious that a recording would take place in the United States only to be shipped off to England to be manufactured and finally sent back as an import. Does this have to do with contract and legal agreements...

I don’t have much experience with labels outside of the United States so I apologize if this is common knowledge. I was curious what the difference was- as they both are Italian labels utilizing the Nipper logo of HMV/Victor. Is one an HMV product while the other is a result of severed ties from WWI...

That is an interesting modification. Somebody put a bit of thought into it. I'm guessing the Edison horn is still in place? Or maybe something else was cobbled together- or no horn at all! I'm not too familiar with Diamond Discs, but it appears it could be reversed with a little know-how.
