Re: Bet y’all ain’t got an Edison Standard this early.

My point is that run of the mill Standards are common and cheap, but uninformed eBay sellers will now have a listing they can refer to that "justifies" a high listing price for a common machine, not realizing the difference between a common Standard and a very early one... Oh yeah, we got...

Re: Red Edison records

I think these were a dictation format a lot like the GE Play-Talk which used a magnetic disc head to record and playback sound. I would like to get my hands on one of these recorders in my pursuit of collecting odd audio recorders

Yeah I understand the price is out of the range of the average collector but it’s the 4th one! And it still exists 123 years later! 😮

Re: VV 7-30 with Radiola radio

Congrats on this early radio phono console! Personally (and this is just my preference and no slight on your purchase) I would like to get one of the Brunswick machines with the radiola just because it’s just so odd to see an RCA product with a non-Victor turntable that’s not a Frankenstein machine....

Re: Thomas Edison's 174th Birthday

I know I’m belated but I couldn’t not wish the man who embellished his name one these great machines and records (and invented the playback system for them) a Happy (belated) Birthday now can I? 😃

Here’s a song just for you Thomas!
