Re: That Expert Senior...

Very many congratulations Ahmed---it could not have gone to a better or more appreciative home. The sound is stunning, especially where you have used the four-spring soundbox evidencing your great expertise at rebuilding and tuning. What a fabulous instrument and result ! Future happiness is well as...

Re: EMG Cheltenham

In my opinion there is more evidence of an internet failure to be found when considering the rapidity at which lots were completed. I looked in on the auction at various times that day and estimated when 283 would come up but was very surprised when it arrived much more quickly than I had calculated...

Re: EMG Cheltenham

It sold for such a ridiculously low price that one wonders if the auction house had their act together regarding the bidding technology and if all potential bidders were actually able to bid ? Had such a "give-away" price been even vaguely anticipated I think there would have been many mor...

Re: Apollo Super 9

I've never made a video but maybe now's the time to figure out how. Presumably I need to upload it to YouTube? Yes indeed, YouTube is the place. I use a ten year old palm-held Sony camera but nowadays it is pretty simple using a phone too. YouTube, to me, is one the greatest inventions ever to grac...

Re: Gramophone shop in Caen.

What a fabulous evocative photograph Roger. Thank you very much for posting. Most sadly, I should think survival of two world wars is rather unlikely but it would certainly be extremely interesting to know.

Not one I have come across before. The rarest of the rare and will probably go for a high price in spite of the massive commission costs. It would be good to know about the soundbox and its condition.

Absolutely no problem on my PC---works perfectly but the script is smaller on my wife's Mac---no so easy to read. I am sure this must be adjustable on her screen but is an added inconvenience.
