Re: Looking for horn crane

I’d settle for any type of table crane, not just this kind. Any leads much appreciated!

Re: Looking for horn crane

I found some photos in an old forum of a reproduction table crane from Columbia. This is something like it would be great. I wrote the person who used to make them so we will see. Is there anyone else out there that makes something similar? Thank you!

Re: Looking for horn crane

It’s not a cygnet horn, but a red fireside small horn. I use it with a maroon GEM, but I have an Edison Home I want to use it on, but need a support crane as it hangs from a chain. I’m looking for a small floor crane to suspend it from. I’ve seen different types, but the ones I’m interested in eithe...

I’d love to get one where the horn goes through a circle on a post or the kind where the horn is hung from a C shaped piece on a post. It does not need to be original. ...

Re: Replacing Edison Home main spring & repeater woes

Latest issue - when a horn is added there is too much weight for the carriage to be picked up and put in the worm thread for return. I image I could use a horn on a crane. What would be an appropriate horn and crane for this and where could I get one? Not looking to shell out enough for a cygnet, bu...

Re: Replacing Edison Home main spring & repeater woes

Turns out installing a Model D repeater is no walk in the park. I learned a lot though. Finally got it somewhat working today. Below is a clip, albeit with no horn and way too fast - but it is progress!

Re: Installing repeater arm on Edison Home B

I may have solved this one! Posting the solution here to help someone in the future with a similar problem. I used a strip of metal with the clamp piece so the set screw had something to push against. It works great! The metal is actually from a picture from hanger. I used wire clipper to shape it t...
