Kind of sad that these are not popular enough that people would make a dash down to Dover to grab them. (even if not Edison!)

However already in 1915 the bowl in lid models were being used, as this one from the science museum indicates. Complete with bullet hole. A fantastic artefact!

My understanding is that the "TRENCH" model was not a bowl in lid reflector type machine, but originally as in the attached picture

The Edison below it - looks like a "loudspealing" prototype? Never seen one like this.

The quandry is do you buy it and try to complete it with correct parts that are not easy to find. The 4 spring motor not so difficult but the re-entrant horn may be a few decades away, if ever. The cabinet is cheap as a starting point for a very expensive complete machine. OK you need to get it tran...
