It’s been a while since I’ve made a public post... But I just want to remind everyone what a great resource websites like these are to younger generations regardless of their form. Looking through my profile, I joined this forum on Jun 25, 2013 5:38 pm. Well, I was born in 2001 so I was around 12 years old when I joined this forum :P

I don’t think I can put into words how amazing it was to have an interest that was able to be expanded into a hobby through the extensive knowledge and resources made possible by this forum. Not only have I grown tremendously through this forum, but I continue to make connections and learn new things everyday thanks to this website. For that I will always be grateful. Something to remember is that websites like these don’t just provide communication, they provide sustainability to wonderful hobbies like ours.

Here’s a photo of me when I first started collecting (and probably when I would have joined the forum  )

Thank you, David (MordEth), for all of your efforts. I have happily sent a donation. Your efforts to maintain the TMF are sincerely appreciated.

That statement was based upon the first two posts
in this thread. Disclaimer: That is just
my interpretation of things.[/quote]

Your interpretation is flawed. The APS has invested significant time and trouble to support and preserve the present TMF, doing everything possible to avoid what might be construed a hostile takeover or a power grab. Evidently, that effort was not entirely successful, although I'm baffled as to why.

I'd encourage you to read this associated thread, particularly the posts made on April 23, 2019:

Ok then. Thanks George for pointing out the
other thread where this has been being discussed for
months now. In order to help explain why that effort
was not entirely successful, in my case it's because
the thread in question titled "Forum Problems" resides
as a sub-topic of the heading "TMF Tech Support".

Turns out all of this had been simmering away for
months in the background, completely unknown to myself, and likely many others too. Had it not been for Raphael giving us a heads-up this would still be an unknown issue. Now, with the other thread clearly pointed
out, that effort is more entirely successful.

I had no idea you were so young! What a great way to start this hobby, Tom.

Sorry, but I cannot see any PayPal button. I'm using Google Chrome, and the bottom of page looks this:

I cannot see any PayPal button at the bottom right in the middle... Is it a feature not available in Spain?
I'm completely grateful for all the services Mordeth is giving to maintain this wonderful forum, and I want to help, but cannot find the button you're mentioning...

Wait a minute... perhaps it's the blule configuration...

OK, it was. The button is only in the Anachronic configuration. I've changed to this standard config.
Thanks. My two cents added.

Mordeth -

Please, keep up the good work. IT folks rarely ever hear from users except when something goes wrong. The rest of the time, when things are going right, nobody thinks about who is responsible for that.

I appreciate the work you do, though I didn't know that it was you until this thread. Right now, though, concentrate on your friend with my best wishes.

Thanks! Cliff

I'm pretty new here but I wanted to say many thanks to David/MordEth. I've been a web developer/software developer for a long time. Upgrades can take up a lot of personal time and be an expense at bad times.

This site is very nice in my humble opinion. Please keep up the great work! 8-)

and best wishes for you and your friend during this tough time.

My thanks to David for tweaking us along and also to Raphael for the heads-up.
