The Late Frank Andrews

Post by epigramophone »

Frank Andrews, a world renowned researcher into the history of the recording industry, sadly passed away on Friday 26 June at the great age of 94.

He was a kind and helpful man who I am proud to have known. May he rest in peace.

Roger.

Roger, thank you for informing us of another great loss to our community.

I could not have said it better myself. May he rest in peace.

That is very sad news. One of the great researchers, a real loss.

Mr Andrews left a legacy of reference books that is invaluable to record collectors like me. I wonder in these times of google and instantaneous internet self-gratification how many people will follow his path and pursue primary research. My condolences to his family and friends.
