I've found in my files these photos of a beautiful DIY gramophone, made in the Ginn style, even it has a
papier appliqué horn, an orthophonic soundbox and tonearm.
But I don't remember who was the author... Was that fellow collector from Japan? Was Oliver Mundy...?
I'm always posting with the idea of making one myself, so I'm always curious about what others have achieved in this line...

Alas, I know nothing about this; I wish I did! With a relatively small 'footprint' and no famous name to attract an extravagant price, it is exactly the kind of machine I would have liked to own.

The maker of this machine was a member on this forum called 'Watanabehi'. You can view all his posts under this name which unfortunitely are very few. He clearly put a lot of effort into this and hopefully didn't take offence to the reference of it being a crapophone which it clearly isn't.
