The juniors wanted to listen to their favorite Elvis 78 rpm. Any guesses at what they are doing wrong?

Ok just to tease a bit more...answer is "they are using an old needle". I'll explain later ;)

BTW: Its not English. Its from around 1930 & the company was based in Berlin.

The name of the machine is LOOPINGPHON, but was also sold under the PUROPHON name. Mine is burgundy in color but I have also seen a blue one. (I suspect that it was called Loopingphon in Germany & Austria and Purophon in Switzerland?)

I've seen a number of logo's, the best is of an early airplane. Obviously to express that the phonograph could be used anywhere. And as the kids demonstrate, the counterbalanced tonearm allows records to be played in any position, defying gravity.
