ONWARDS AND UPWARDS to Malvern!

Post by old country chemist »

I am getting ready now for the big CLPGS 100th Celebrations.weekend at Malvern. I think a few of you will also be going. I look forward to meeting you later today. So I thought it called for another picture.

Brilliant and great fun as always Alastair. I really wish I could attend too! Maybe next year...

I'm in the Madrid airport, parting to Birmingham at 13.20 (uk time). How to arrive there by 15.50. then take the Midlands train and arriving at great Malvern at 17.45 (if I'm lucky) or at 18.20 (not lucky). 15 min walk to The Abbey. hope to take the earlier train not to miss the Chairman salutation!
Se you there!

I'm happy and lucky!
I managed to get the train in time. I'll arrive at Great Malvern station at 17.46, so I'll be entering The Abbey just at six o'clock. So in the end i won't miss the chairman's welcome chat!
Nice trip to all you still on the way to this centennial celebration!

With no intention of stealing the thread...and someone have probably also seen this photo before, but I feel it maybe is time to issue a general warning:;)
Is this how we will all end up? Enjoy your trips to Malvern, while the rest of us keep frequenting old attics, deserted ghost towns, and dodgy basements looking for goodies.
Have a nice weekend !
-Nostalgia- (currently heading for his garage room to look closer at his new baby from yesterdays visit to an old attic, a HMV 109)
and yes...wish I was at Malvern:;)

Nostalgia, lots of fun... You MUST become a member of the CLPGS and come here next year... It's been fascinating, to say the less...

Inigo (and everyone else in here): Yes, I will now become a member of CLPGS. After servicing three HMV 101, and one VV-XI-A to the last screw, during the last 3 weeks, including opening and cleaning/re greasing three single, and one double spring barrel, I feel I am possibly entitled to apply for a membership. I really wanted to disassemble some motors, and get dirty on my hands, before applying for a membership.
I hope to see you next year, and am happy to hear you had a nice time at Malvern:)
