Thank you, Barry. I took the risk with the felt, but decided that I did not want to keep it the way it looked. So I had two options, testing a way to clean it, or change it. I was happy to find out that the Vanish stain remover spray did the trick, and for sure will try the same procedure also on other dirty turntables. :D

Both those motors are 59; the projecting winder nozzle is a later version. The 69 was the version used in table grands (103, 104), with a horizontal winder, so your motor has somehow acquired the baseplate from one of these. Could be a repair, or careless replacement from the wrong motor, or even a factory error!
