I would need your help to identify this HMV machine.
Thanks for looking.

Is it a UK HMV machine or a colonial one?

Re: Is it a UK HMV machine or a colonial one?
The "Scroll Frame" transfer is not normally seen on external horn machines, and appears to be fixed to an oak panel, but the pictures suggest that the rest of the case could be mahogany.
I suspect that it is at best a colonial machine, or at worst one which has been interfered with.

It's totally original apart from the transfer which has been added later and as said before looks like an oak panel inserted in a mahogany case

The machine looks like a mahogany style No. 7. A late one as seen by the 3 separate barrels of the triple-Spring motor. Perhaps the original transfer was damaged so someone replaced the panel using wood from an oak machine to make use of its transfer?

It's a perfectly genuine Indian HMV. The cabinet is made from teak, not oak.
