Alex, wonderful work... I had thought of building a similar machine if I ever happened onto the right parts. We seem to be on the same page with hand made phonograph projects.

It really sounds great... what material did you use for the diaphragm/oscillator?

Very well done Alex---a superb project beautifully executed. Congratulations ! The bookmatched veneers are stunning and quite up to the standards of Frank Darrieulat. A real joy forever.

I must echo all the praise , a tour de force for sure. I think I would have used a bakelite turn knob for the switch though, bit more in keeping. But a small nit pick to a magnificent piece of work.

Well impressed mate! The sound is great.

Like Curt I’m curious what material you used for the diaphragm? And if paper based, did you have to treat it to give good resonance?

As an aside, Alex, have you made any more aluminium diaphragms yet? I really need one of 46mm for an unusual soundbox that I am fiddling with at the moment.
Alex & Alastair - I have sent PM regarding the Aluminium Diaphragm
